(Sims) Private Lesson Policy

Membership Tuition

Our teachers allocate dedicated time in their schedules, thoughtfully prepare each lesson, and are committed to the long-term development of every student. To maintain consistent and high-quality instruction, we kindly ask that the following policies be observed.

Tuition is a flat monthly fee.

  • $120/month for weekly 30-minute lessons

  • $230/month for weekly 60-minute lessons

Most months have four (4) or five (5) lessons, and on some occasions, three (3) lessons when we have a studio closing for Spring Break, Thanksgiving, Winter Break/New Year's and one week in the summer of your instructor’s choosing (see our calendar as these closings may vary by location).

  • Tuition is due on the first of each month and is billed automatically to your credit/debit card or ACH account on file. (“Auto-pay”).

  • A $25 fee will be charged for each check return.

  • Declined auto-pay transactions must be resolved by the client by the 20th of the month in which said payment is due. Non-payment will result in the forfeiture of your time slot on your instructor’s schedule.

  • Educational materials, music books, instrument rental, and other accessories are additional costs that Freeway Music does not provide. Your teacher can help direct you on where to purchase any of these items.

Attendance:

Students are expected to be punctual for their weekly lessons. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early for your lesson time. Students who are late for a lesson cannot be guaranteed their full lesson time.

Missed Lesson:

  • No tuition credit or refund will be provided for missed lessons.

  • We cannot guarantee a rescheduled lesson when you cancel, as our teachers schedules are often completely full, however;

  • A Make-up Lesson Credit may be issued when a lesson is canceled with at least 24 hours' advance notice (via your online dashboard).
Cancellations made with less than 24-hour notice will not qualify for a Make-up Lesson Credit (This includes being sick the day of a scheduled lesson - though please note you may attend virtually if you feel up to it).
No more than one (1) Make-up Lesson Credit can be pending at a time per membership.
It can be used to schedule a Make-up Lesson via your online dashboard at any time with your teacher within 30 days, contingent upon your teacher’s schedule availability.
    Make-up Lessons cannot be rescheduled.
Make-up Lesson Credit(s) expire 14 days after the initial lesson cancellation. In other words, you have 14 days from the initial cancellation to rebook your credit to a timeslot within 30 days.

Substitutions:

  • You may decide to change teacher or instrument with a 21-day advance notice before the 1st of the month.

  • If your teacher is unable to teach a lesson, a substitute teacher will be arranged, or a makeup credit will be applied to your account. A teacher-canceled credit will not expire until you end your membership.

  • Our regular lesson cancellation policy applies to substitute teachers. No Make-up Credit is issued for last-minute substitutions.

  • If your teacher becomes unavailable for regular lessons, you will be provided a new teacher with a similar teaching style, or the opportunity to choose a new teacher.

Summer (June, July, August):

  • We are open for lessons year-round, and our teachers find that summer lessons are a great time for student growth due to less overall distraction and activities vying for your time. We can be flexible around your summer vacation schedule. Please work with your teacher in advance to discuss when you will be out of town, and they will do their best to accommodate you.
