"We have been at Freeway for over 5 years and have loved every minute of it! Between guitar and drums it has been an amazing experience. Currently both of my kids are taking drums with Greg Vance and they are doing great! Greg is so down to earth and tailors the lessons to each kid and follows where their passion is. Whether it is pop rock or heavy metal…he is game for it all in their classes! He has been instrumental for developing them into the musicians they are today! Freeway is a home away from home for our family!"

Performance Opportunities

At least twice a year, students are given the opportunity to perform in individual recitals and group showcases. These are designed to create an experience similar to professional music performances.

From recital halls to rock concerts - we create opportunities to perform that are relevant to the instrument and style that you are learning.

Music Concert

My skills have improved to a point that I never thought possible. And I still have lots to learn. I wholeheartedly recommend taking music lessons to anyone at any stage of life and Freeway Music is a wonderful, supportive place to do that.

Do you offer drum lessons for adults?

Yes. Drum lessons for adults are just as common as lessons for kids and teens. Whether you played years ago or have never sat behind a kit, your lessons move at your pace and focus on the music you want to play.

What’s the best way to learn to play drums?

Weekly private lessons with an experienced teacher, plus regular practice at home. A teacher builds solid timing and technique early, so bad habits don’t stick, and inspires you along the way. Freeway students also perform at least twice a year in recitals and group showcases, and can add Rockband Class to play with other musicians.

Do I need my own drum kit?

Yes, for practice at home. Instruments and materials aren’t included with lessons. Your teacher can help you choose a kit, practice pad, or sticks that fit your space and budget.

How do I sign up for private drum lessons?

Choose your location and fill out the lesson inquiry form or book online. The Freeway team will reach out within 24 hours to match you with an instructor who fits your schedule and goals. Pricing is listed in the Lesson Policies.
